James Marshall Hendrix, better known as Jimi Hendrix, was born on November 27 of 1942 in Seattle, Washington, with the name Johnny Allen Hendrix but was re-named in memory of his uncle.
He was a singer, guitarist and songwriter.
Before he got famaus he played in New York in a several diferent groups one of which was called "Jimmy James and The Blue Flames". He played in clubs like "Cafe Wha?", "Cafe A Go Go" and "Cheetah Club", where Keith Richards' (guitarist of "The Rolling Stones") girlfriend recommend him to Chas Chandler, bassist in "The Animals",that liked his music and brought Jimi to London there he made a new band named "The Jimi Hendrix Experience" and got famaus.
He made just three albums:
* 1967 -Are you Experienced?
* 1967 -Axis: Blod as Love.
* 1968 -Electric Ladyland.
And one livealbum:
* 1970 - Band of Gypsys.
But after his death many records has relased under his name, here are some:
* 1968 - Smash Hits.
* 1971 - The Cry of Love.
* 1972 - War Heroes.
* 1997 - First Rays of the New Rising Sun.
* 1997 - Experience Hendrix: The Best of Jimi Hendrix.
He went to a couple of tours to sweden and once with Loffe Karlsson that is a famous swedish acter.
He even got a child when he was there.
This is a good song that he sang but didn't write (Bob Dylan writed it): "Like A Rolling Stone".
He died in 18th of September, 1970, in "Hotel Samarkand" of an overdose of sleeping pills.
